Hastings Museum has a local studies room where you will be able to look at and research our extensive reserve collections of archives and artefacts. You may be interested in the history of your house or area, your family or many other aspects of the local history of Hastings and St Leonards.
In addition to catalogues of material held in the Museum, there will also be access to indexes and lists of archives held by East Sussex Record Office at Lewes.
The Local Studies Room is run by volunteers and, subject to their availability, is open to researchers on Wednesdays from 10am to 4pm.
If you would like to see items from the museum archives, please contact the Keeper of Local History on 01424 451637 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
