Browse the library shelves independently or ask the Local Studies Room Volunteer on duty for advice.

- Sussex Archaeological Collections from 1847
- Sussex County Magazine from 1930
- Journals and newsletters of local history and archaeology societies
- Hastings Borough Council Minutes from 1898
- List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest, Borough of Hastings
- Catalogues of material held in the Museum
- Indexes and lists of archives held by East Sussex Record Office at Falmer
- Reference books on various aspects of Hastings and Sussex
