"First Michael came in our classroom and showed us souvenir, crest ware and Gossware. Then Michael put the objects on the table. We had a close look at the objects... then we scetched the objects in our books."
"We had a shell on our table to look at, it was a replica of a bomb shell. It was made past 1918 which is past the World War I, so say if it was made in Germany they would put on the bottom of it foren goods or maybe they would put a different country on the bottom. We observed the bomb shell and them made a observational drawing of it."
"We had to think about how we would make our drawings three dimensional"
When the children had made their final designs, they made their objects in air-drying clay.
The following week, when the clay had fully dried out, the objects were painted in white and gold in the style of Goss ware.
