School bookings and blended learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic
To make it easier to engage with the museum during this difficult period, we are launching a blended approach to museum learning.
From September 2021, you can book 5 different workshops developed by teachers that blend digital resources with hands on activity:
- Stone Age
- Ancient Greece
- Ancient Egypt
- Ancient Maya
- World War II
These can be delivered in the museum, or in school remotely by the museum Learning Officer. This work has been supported via a grant from the Art Fund.
We have added to our Loan Box collection; there are more options to borrow to complement your topic work. Alongside our loan boxes, we are offering digital workshops led by our museum learning officer - topics can include Dinosaurs and Fossils, Stone Age and Ancient Egypt. Please see our Loan Box page for a complete list.
Loans are made for a fixed period - boxes are cleaned and isolated for at least 72 hours at the museum to allow for safe quarantining before they are sent out again.
To book a loans box or a visit by us to you, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We offer curriculum-linked workshops in a gallery setting. Workshops focus on developing practical history, critical and creative thinking skills using our collections.
