Artsmark helps schools to demonstrate certain elements of the Ofsted framework and Teaching Standards. Completing your Artsmark journey demonstrates a schools' commitment to a broad and balanced curriculum, as well as contributing to fulfilling SMSC requirements.
Artsmark is also a great way to evidence how your school is providing meaningful careers provision, as well as linking directly to many of the Gatsby Benchmarks.

We are committed to community engagement, partnership working and promoting lifelong learning.
Learning with the museum is an immersive experience - we can offer cross-curricular workshops (incorporating History, Literacy and STEAM) in our galleries, online or as a blend of both approaches. Our offer is suitable for learners from KS1 - KS3.
As your Arts Mark partner, we can:

- Offer board of governors and the senior leadership team training
- Co-create bespoke, cross-curricular Arts Award programmes for Discover and Explore levels
- Proof-read your Statement of Impact
- Support with bid writing to leverage additional funds
Children and young people work with museum professionals, artists and real historical objects to explore art forms of their choosing.
Work with artists, museum professionals and museum workshops are free of charge to schools in the Hastings Borough. For Arts Award projects, schools can expect a contribution of up to 50% from the museum towards the cost of Explore or Discover certification.
