This appears to have been the disc used by Baird in his demonstrations to members of the Royal Institution in 1926. It was made in 1925 and differs from early accounts which describe a 30 hole disc.
The disc was left at Baird's home, 1, Station Road, Bexhill, when he died in 1946.
It was acquired by the Hastings Museum in 1999 with assistance from the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Science Museum PRISM Fund, the Pilgrim Trust, the Went Tree Trust and Hastings Borough Council
