150 Years of the Hastings Lifeboat

5 April 2008 marks the 150th anniversary of the inauguration of the RNLI Hastings Lifeboat Station. This exhibition looks at the events that led up to the establishment of the Lifeboat Station in 1858, and the first few years of its service.
The rest of the story will be told in a series of exhibitions and other events during April 2008 in venues all around the Old Town. Look out for the special leaflet nearer the date.
